Malware tools are designed to go undetected as possible. In the "old" days it was hold your system for ransom. Now ransomware is the icing on the cake. The goal is to gain access and syphon off data and or CPU cycles for as long as you can.
With the right tools, bypassing BitLocker is a breeze.

Does this mean BitLocker drive encryption should not be used. No, good Cyber Security uses a multilayered approach of which drive encryption is just one layer.
